Talk about Native Bees at Bergen-Passaic Native Plant Society Meeting

Would you like to learn about some native plants you can use in your garden? Come join us at this month's meeting.

Join us at the Trail Conference headquarters for the monthly meeting of the Bergen-Passaic chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey. We share information amoung native plant enthusiasts and have informative talks on native plants.

This month's talk will be by Susa Petro about Native Bees. Step out into your garden; smell a rose, admire an aster's rich purple, pick a zucchini or tomato for dinner.  For all these marvels thanks are due to the incredible partnerships flowering plants and their pollinators, have evolved over the past 100 million years.  This presentation will focus on an often overlooked group of outstanding pollinators - our native bees (and some wanna-bees).

Meetings are free and open to the public.

Trail Conference headquarters is located on Route 202, Ramapo Valley Road, in Mahwah, just north of Ramapo Valley County Reservation and opposite the turnoff for Darlington Road. The parking lot is small, but overflow parking is available next door at the Ramapo County Reservation with a short walk through the woods. This parking and trail are NOT lighted, so attendees should bring a flashlight, carpool, or arrive early to park near the building. The path from the reserve parking lot to the trail center begins just to the left of the "do not enter" sign.
