Park Description:

Turkey Swamp Park and Turkey Swamp Wildlife Management Area are on the northern edge of the Pinelands.  Part of the Monmouth County Park System, the 2111-acre Turkey Swamp Park offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities. In addition to a campground, picnic facilities, and a 17-acre lake that offers boating and fishing opportunities [boat rentals are available], there are marked hiking trails.

Adjacent to the county park, Turkey Swamp WMA includes 3,843 acres of upland pine oak, woodlands, lowland and swampy areas.

Trails Overview:

There are over nine miles of marked trails in Turkey Swamp Park, these mostly on level pathways cutting through forests of pitch pine and oak.   A trail map is available on the park's web site [Contact Information below]

Directions:

To reach Turkey Swamp Park, take I-295 to Exit 22, and proceed north on Jackson Mills Road to Georgia Road. Turn left on Georgia Road and continue for 1.7 miles to the park entrance. Also, see map at top of this page.
