Merstead (the Scottish word for farmland) is an historic home with trails through woodlands and fields. For more detailed information about Merestead see http://www.westchestergov.com/parks/NatureCenters05/Merestead.htm

The trails system includes both woodland hiking trails and farm roads with some good views from the farm roads at the top of the hill behind the mansion. The trail at the top of the hill connects to Butler Sanctuary via a BRLA marked horse trail.
