| Park Description: | The Black Creek Forest Preserve is a 130-acre woodland tract in the Town of Esopus. It features a hemlock forest mixed with hardwoods, old stone walls, and vistas of the Hudson River from a riverfront viewpoint. |
| Trails Overview: | There are three marked trails in the preserve. Hike in from the parking lot on the 0.5-mile Yellow Trail, proceeding over Black Creek on a suspension bridge then past a nature information panel ultimately to reach the Red Trail. From here is it possible to complete an attractive 1.5-mile figure-eight hike by combining the Red and Blue trails. The Blue Trail leads down to the shore of the Hudson River.
